Whether you take the TOEFL test at home or in person at a test center, the only thing that counts is your English-language ability, not where you test, what you look like, or who scores your test. The TOEFL test uses AI scoring handled by a centralized scoring network, so you can be sure your skills are being assessed fairly and accurately.

You can register for a test from the TOEFL website by creating an ETS account. When you register, you will be able to choose either a regular the TOEFL test at a test center, or the Special Home Edition, depending on which is available in your country. The process is slightly different for the Special Home Edition; you can get more details about the specific registration steps on the Special Home Edition website.

The TOEFL test also recently introduced a new free online practice test to help you get familiar with the test. It features a full test with all 4 sections and real past test questions. You can view examples of correct answers in the Reading and Listening sections, listen to sample Speaking responses, and read sample Writing responses.
