English Rewind - Weekender: Exam revision

English Rewind - Weekender: Exam revision

📻 What's the best revision technique? How can you maximise study time? Find out while you improve your English vocabulary knowledge AND practise your English listening with this archive episode of the BBC Learning English programme Weekender. What revision techniques do you have? Tell us in the comments 👇👇👇 Top tips for revision: ✔️ Planning - Make a sensible revision plan. - Include regular breaks so you don't lose concentration. - Mix up your strong and weak subjects on your timetable - don't do all the difficult topics at once. - Write a list of targets that you know you can reach and tick them off as you accomplish them. ✔️ Learning and remembering - Use small pieces of card to write words or phrases on one side, and their translation on the other. - Make your own revision notes. You'll learn as you write and, once you've got them, you're halfway there. - Speak to yourself out loud in English whenever you can. ✔️ Know what to expect - Check the syllabus or ask a teacher to make sure you've got the key areas covered. - If you can, look at past exam papers and see how questions could be asked. - Think about what exam questions you would ask if you were the teacher. ✔️ Be sensible - Relax! Get a good sleep the night before the exam. - Keep things in perspective, remember exams aren't the most important thing in the world!
